Product Description

This is an arrangement of Thad Jones' popular jazz ballad, "A Child is Born," for jazz sextet (alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, trumpet, piano, bass, and drums). It would be an excellent fit for high school or collegiate jazz ensembles! It features very lush harmonies in the horns against a complementary rhythm section, and provides a great way for jazz students to practice the art of improvisation. The arrangement is approximately 4-7 minutes long depending on the length of the solo section.
