Product Description
An easy piece for beginning band, Penllyn Castle features solid scoring, a medium-sized percussion section (seven players), a simple melody, countermelody, and bass line, and stays below the break for clarinets. No eighth notes in the wind parts and simple eighth note rhythms in the percussion. Penllyn Castle showcases each major section of the band: woodwinds, brass, percussion, and low brass/low reeds in their own soli sections of the piece.
Instrumentation: Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Trumpet, Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, Timpani, Bells, Xylophone, Percussion 1 (Snare Drum - Bass Drum), Percussion 2 (Crash Cymbals/Triangle - Tom-toms).
NOTE: This work is published as a set of one full score and one copy of each instrumental part. The owner of this work's copyright reserves all rights, but grants the purchaser approval to make copies of extra parts needed for performance by the ensemble for which the set was purchased.
