MISE ÉIREis a new bilingual song by MARIEO'REILLY, setting words by PÁDRAIG PEARSE ( 1879- 1916 ) who was one of the leaders of the 1916 Revolution in Ireland, which achived Irish Freedom after 800 years of rule by England. He was executed by the British for his part in 'TheRising'. He wrote both the Englsih and the Irish words, which MarieO'Reilly has adapted to fit this very stirring and melodic new song.
