Product Description

This trio for two Bb clarinets and bass clarinet consists of a suite of four characteristic pieces originally for the piano by Thomas James Hewitt (1880-1948). He was an English composer and pianist active in the early decades of the 20th. Century. He mainly wrote for voice and piano. His music is light, sentimental and romantic and, typical of the era, draws upon the countryside and its folk myths for its inspiration. His song 'Alone in Love's Garden' was recorded alongside 'Home Sweet Home', in similar vein, in the 1920s.
These pieces are light and tuneful and useful for concerts, incidental music and the development of style and ensemble.
