The version of the work for solo piano is also available via Sheet Music Plus. Reflections explores the notion of inversion, creating additional parts through mirroring. The movement winds through a series of sections, each based on a keynote of the ascending whole-tone scale, before returning to the opening tonal centre of C. The piece is technically quite demanding and therefore is best suited to higher-grade students and advanced players.
