For many years since moving to Preston, our favourite place for an afternoon walk has been Beacon Fell in Lancashire. It is a relatively small (110 acres) forest which sits on a hill of a bump, but has such charm. As you arrive you can see this bump getting bigger from a distance. You can just walk around and listen to the birds and the nature as it relaxes you.
