Product Description

"Calypso Carnival" is a medley of two traditional West Indian folk melodies, "The Carnival" and "L'Année Passée," which have served as the basis for many hit calypso songs (melodies are often recycled with new lyrics and titles).  This arrangement captures the flavor of Trinidadian calypso at an accessible level for younger bands.  
Level: Middle School/Early High School
Instrumentation: Flute/Oboe; Clarinet 1 & 2; Alto Saxophone; Tenor Saxophone/Baritone TC; Trumpet 1 & 2; Trombone/Baritone BC/Bassoon; Percussion 1 & 2.  Additional parts included for Horn in F, Baritone Saxophone, Tuba, and optional added percussion. As with all Seven O Six Music titles, parts are clearly and professionally laid out and easy to read.
