Dance of the Crazy Angel is the second of a new series of jazz trumpet duets. It is an upbeat jazz waltz and challenges the students to listen carefully to weave together a coherent melody that is at times alternates between the two parts. There is an exciting use of hemiola and dissonance to bring this cazy angel to life. The piece is accessible to intermediate to advanced players.
