Product Description

The double fugue in the final movement of Beethoven's 9th symphony in D minor (Op. 125) is often considered one of the best and most moving examples of a fugue in classical repertoire: the earlier-stated, ponderous "millionen" theme ("Seid umschlungen, Millionen!...") is ecstatically intertwined with the famous "ode to joy" theme ("Freude, schöner Götterfunken..."). This adaptation re-sets the choral parts for four clarinet vocies.
