Product Description

An "Anacreontic" poem is a drinking song or light lyric. Lyrics for this piece that won 1st prize in the Sorel Medallion Contest in 2009 are by Abraham Cowley: Love--I'll Sing of Heroes and of Kings; Wallace Stevens excerpt from Canto VII/VIII and and excerpt from Homer's Odyssey. The guitar part uses alternate tunings in the last movement. There are a few places with divisi, but it is minimal. SATB and guitar.
