The
Mountain That Is Mine
If
you ever climb the mountain
where
the sun glints off the rocks,
If
you ever climb the mountain
which
is circled by the hawks,
If
you ever climb the mountain
where
it's warm all day,
Then
you have climbed the mountain
on
top of which I lay.
If
you ever see the place
where
the cactus always grows,
If
you ever see the place
of
which nobody knows,
If
you ever see the place
where
the giant rivers run,
Then
you have seen the place
where
I am basking in the sun.
If
you ever hear the stream
gurgling
by
If
you ever hear of the place
where
no animals will die,
If
you ever hear the talk
of
a most difficult climb,
Then
you have heard
of
the mountain that is mine.
