Product Description
ABBA, the
Swedish pop phenomenon, burst onto the scene in April 1974 by winning the Eurovision
Song Contest with Waterloo. More than 45 years later, Des Press is proud to
release some of ABBAs subsequent hits, arranged for string quartet by Des
McNutty.
Chiquitita featured on ABBAs album Voulez-Vous and was released as a single in January 1979.
These famous numbers are sure to delight
guests at parties, weddings etc. and as a mood-lifting encore in recital
concerts. The level is on the easier side of "advanced"; quickly rehearsed by
professional quartets and an accessible challenge for experienced students.
These arrangements are personally transcribed
by the arranger and in the same tonality as the original recordings, so you can
play along for fun. A short "tag" has been added at the end of this
number because fade-outs are not always practical when performing live.
This edition has two sets of parts for the violins and viola: one
set is easy to navigate but on three pages; the other set is compressed onto a
music-stand-friendly two pages.
This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard's global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
