It tells of the nativity of Jesus Christ so is suitable for a program of Christmas music. This version, composed in 2016, maintains the melodic line, key and tempo of the original tune but has more variety of accompaniment styles, featuring lilting piano accompaniment with unison voices and an unaccompanied SATB section. It is suitable for adult mixed choirs of modest ability.
