This embellished arrangement of "St. Thomas" features unaccompanied trombone. The arrangement employs some different trombone jazz techniques as it winds around the main melody and will challenge the player's phrasing, technique, articulation and musicality.  Though not overly technically difficult, this arrangement does make good use of an advanced player's entire range.  Mastering seamless phrases over disjointed passages will be one of the major skills exercised while working on this particular piece.

The arrangement would be appropriate for lighter pops programming, special occasions, or recitals.
