Product Description

The Strangest Thing is a post-minimalist work for string quartet. It is based on an unfinished piece I wrote as a student for string trio almost three decades ago. It represents a reconciliation with my past style and worldview. My work is now much more straight forward, and less embellished (more truly minimalist). The cello part (which has only just been added) represents this. It also gives a structure to the work that is otherwise lacking, rounding up the rather unnerving agitation present in the other parts.
