Product Description
From Italy, a traditional Neapolitan christmas carol, arranged for solo piano in a soul/bluesy style.
Written in 1754 in Nola by Saint Alphonsus de' Liguori in the musical style of a pastorale.
Though found in numerous arrangements and commonly sung, it is traditionally associated with the zampogna,
or large-format Italian bagpipe. The original song from which it derives is "Quanno nascette ninno" (Neapolitan vernacular),
later translated into Italian with the title "Tu scendi dalle stelle".
