The Kingdom of Light, 3 pages, is an intermediate piece in the key of G, is the first piece from a fairy tale suite of 8 pieces entitled "The Kingdom of Light". This work tells the story of a beautiful kingdom where the people are always singing and dancing. A place with glorious sunsets and sparkling seashores, with no evil lurking anywhere...until one day the Dark Knight arrives. Can the Prince save his lovely Princess? Can peace and safety be restored once more? For individual student enjoyment as well as for recital programs. The recordings have narration and character voice overs followed by the piano piece that tells the story. Churches can use this for religious purposes as this can be allegorical in nature.
The solo, "The Kingdom of Light", is in 12/8 time, has rolled chords, octave playing, legato fingering outside of a 5 finger position, wide dynamic changes, octave position changes, staccatos and accents. Students with small hands can play single notes instead of octaves when necessary.
