Harvest Time
Minuet, a 1 page piece in the key of C minor at the mid to late
elementary level, is the 7th piece from a set of 12 pieces entitled
"Something For Every Season". There are 3 pieces for each of
the four seasons. The first piece in each season is at the mid to late
elementary level, the second piece is at the early intermediate level and the
third piece is at the intermediate level. Harvest Time Minuet in 3/4 time,
uses the tonic and dominant in the bass clef and has a melody that stays within
the 5 finger position of C minor. This is a great piece to use in conjunction with Spring Time Minuet to teach
students transposition. (Teachers can also introduce other major and minor five finger transpositions with these pieces.)
