"What Do You Seek" is a setting of a section of the poem "Starting From Paumanok" by Walt Whitman, set for Tenor solo with a chorus of mixed voices. It is gentle, lyrical, and a bit melancholy, with lots of what I call crunchy chords (7th and 9th chords, speaking strictly musically). It is a real showpiece for a strong tenor voice, and is suitable for a good high school or college choir, or for adult singers.
