This piece was originally composed for a young trombonist (Will Hutchinson) from Christchurch, New Zealand and sits equally as well for horn and piano. It is in 3 short movements with not too much complexity in either the horn or piano parts - it does however demand much sympathetic playing to bring out the emotion (1st movement), the fun (2nd movement) and the joyfulness (3rd movement). This makes a very entertaining concert piece.
