This arrangement of the classic folk song Shenandoah is for violin and guitar. This arrangement is for late beginner and beyond ensemble students and is a great introduction to bass-chord accompaniment on guitar. It's a good addition to a student's ensemble repertoire or as a piece for a student and teacher.  This piece can also be a suitable addition to gig repertoire for the appropriate event or situation. This edition is in the key of G Major.
Guitarist Neal Fitzpatrick has a B.M. from the Hartt School where he studied with Alan Spriestersbach and his M.M. from The Yale School of Music where he studied with Benjamin Verdery. He also studied  extensively with Sharon Isbin and Sal Salvador. Based in Connecticut, he is active as a soloist and in the chamber music scene.
