Product Description

This collection of waltzes is from the celebrations of everyday people in Germany & Austria. This is not what was played for the "high society" functions but is what was heard at Oktoberfests and other public events for the masses. Much can be called folk music. See the back cover for the tune list. This is one of a series of charts for string orchestra that are easy to play and each relate to a single theme---patriotic, ethnic, activity, holiday or age related songs. Being easy to play---nothing past an eighth note and no hemi-demi-semi-quavers--they will be more apt to be in tune and this is good for all concerned. They all are in tempo and have a "swing" feeling to them to make your audience like them. After all--this is about making music and not displaying technique. Parts are Violin 1 & 2 / Violin 3 (Viola Part) / Viola /Cello / Optional Acoustic Guitar (No Electrics) / Bass / Piano / Full Score / Front & Back Covers. Bass and piano are required to make these arrangements work. See the back cover for the tune list and tempos. Electric bass works if read. Maybe you could convert to a cello or upright player? Bass and piano are required to make these arrangements work. See the back cover for the tune list and tempos. If you take your orchestra to an Oktoberfest, make sure they are all 21 or have a good ID.
