It was composed in honor of the teacher and tubist Renato Pinto in commemoration of the arrival of his first granddaughter, called Ágata.
The main melody of the tuba is accompanied by the other instruments of the brass quintet, and can be played with or without the percussion part attached.
A cheerful piece, challenging for the tuba player and containing the rhythmic elements of the maxixe, a danceable musical genre that is part of the Choro language.
An excellent opportunity to expand your quintet's repertoire with the tuba as soloist.
