ABOUT THE PIECE

This is a rather easy piano arrangement of the famous Irish folk song The Star of the County Down". This song, which is one of the most famous Irish tunes, is about a man who meets a beautiful girl on a country road and instantly falls in love with her.

The arrangement underlines the steady dancing beat of the song, and can also be played in a folk band, along with other instruments (voice, flute, guitar etc.) To make this possible, I also included a lead sheet of the song, in which I provided the lyrics with the chords I used in my arrangement.
