As we get closer, we notice that hundreds (maybe even thousands!) of birds have made this beautiful place their home. The island is full of chatter and a flurry of activity as the birds scavenge for food and interact with each other. The two sections of the piece allow the performer to showcase both lyrical and technical playing.
