Product Description

'Through her little eyes' is a friendly, playful marimba solo (four mallets) that I wrote for the baptism of our first daughter. I wanted to capture the curious and innocent view of a child, discovering the yet unknown world. Occasionally, one can also hear some spirit and mischief.

The piece is well suited for players starting at intermediate level. Beginning and end are very melodic, the middle section creates a nice flow through a mixture of double lateral and vertical strokes. Unusual flams and glissandi will get the audiences attention. It works very well for intimate events like baptisms, weddings, church service or similar, or small recitals.
