Product Description

Assembly part from the original composition, "Every Man, Woman, and Child". Composed by Merrill Collins (1950-). Assembly part in key of B flat.  Contemporary Classical; 21st Century; Childrens Music; Spiritual; World Music; Music Education. Published by Spiraling Music, Inc.

This features the assembly part of the original award winning composition of "Every Man, Woman, and Child", which was originally composed in 1986 as a dedication to the United Nations Center for Human Rights by the brilliant female composer, Merrill Collins (1950-). This song has been performed at major civic events including the Human Rights Day (Dec 10th) at the United Nations in NYC in 1987, as well as in San Francisco over the past twenty years.

The original song and chant version (which won the Global Peace Song Award in 2016),  all related curriculum, and the new 2019 EDM, Hip Hop, Yoga & Meditation, West African Highlife versions have been created as a teaching tool for both children and adults to bring awareness to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), as well as to welcome participation from educators, musicians, and all people looking for projects fo the International Peace Day (September 21st).

Music is ideal for ages 5-8, high school or college, and/or community choirs. A chorus sings the chant with hand motions, and during the musical break, each singer comes up and recites an article of the UDHR. Can be done with instrumental CD, piano accompaniment or a small orchestra. Visit www.spiralingmusic.com/peacedayt/index.htm
