This composition won first prize in the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Biennial Choral Competition.

"Kyrie" can be performed by amateur and professional choirs, in both church and concert settings.
Part of the inspiration was this quote by Mahatma Gandhi: "The mantram becomes one's staff of life and carries one through every ordeal. Each repetition has a new meaning, carrying you nearer and nearer to God."
