Desire is the second song in the song cycle of contemporary classical art songs Songs of Love and Desire for Mezzo Soprano voice and piano, composed by Margaret Brandman to the passionate lyrics of Désirée Regina. Duration 4'18"   This gently moving, lyrical and ambient work contrasts with the dramatic opening song of the cycle.  Bright harmonies capture the lovers feelings as she wakes in the morning light in the glow of love.

The work has been performed in concert many times by lyricist Désirée Regina and composer/pianist Margaret Brandman who have also recorded the song cycle for the Songs of Love and Desire album on the JazzEM music label (MMP8041).  The work is registered with A.P.R.A (Australian Performing Rights Association).
