The Ram in Spring ( Aries song) is a contemporary art song is set for Mezzo-Soprano voice or Baritone voice. It is the first song in Margaret Brandman's 'Cosmic Wheel of the Zodiac' Song Cycle. The lyrics are by astrologer and poet Benita Rainer who has artfully distilled the individual characteristics of this star sign in her text thereby making this song ideal birthday song for those born under the Aries star sign.  Duration 1'50"   Suitable for concert performances. The work was premiered by Baritone Martin Cooke accompanied by the composer at a concert in September 2016 in Sydney, Australia. Registered with A.P.R.A ( Australian Performing Rights Association). The Audio file presents the vocal part performed on woodwinds with piano accompaniment.
