Product Description
This lead sheet is for a pianist who can play by chords, but have a hard time to make his/her own contemporary style reharmonization on the old hymn, Be Thou My Vision.
This lead sheet includes two versions of reharmonization:
Reharm. #1 is similar to the original hymn harmonies, yet in contemporary flavor.
Reharm. #2 is more colorful in harmony due to using substitute chords, secondary dominants, and sometimes 2-5-1 progressions.
This lead sheet includes six different keys: C, D, Eb(original key), E, F and G.
You can use this lead sheet in different situations;
(1) if you want to play the piano for the congregational singing (you can use reharm.#1 for verse 1~3, and reharm.#2 for the last verse)
(2) when you should accompany this hymn during a worship service in lower/higher keys,
(3) when someone wants to play his/her own transposing instrument,
(4) if your acoustic guitarist joins you but hard to play in flatted keys, in this case he/she can play in D with capo 1 while you play in Eb.
Sample performance included.
