Going on an Adventure: 3 light intermediate Horn duets.
composed in May of 2014 for a concert featuring Horn music at the German Society of Pennsylvania. Each movement has a different character and meter. The first duet is challenging and includes the use of retrograde. The 2nd duet is in 10/8 and uses different beat emphasis throughout giving it at times a 10/8 feel, a 5/4 feel, big 2 + 3, and a lilting 3+3+2 motif. This as an optional attacca into a drunkish 6/8 dance featuring a phasing slur effect and heavy articulation variation (or vacillation).
