This arrangement is a level 3 work for student string orchestras. It requires sustained tone and provides the basses with some challenging upper register notes. The pizzicato can be played with the fingernail to create a Koto-like sound. The middle section is contrasting in style and tonality giving the students a chance to use the full bow.
