The subsequent reaction to this shocking image is what inspired the song - it is an attempt to understand why some fail to feel empathy for refugees such as Alan Kurdi - despite the clear and present need for empathy, compassion and action. The song calls on the listener to remember that - with a different role of the dice in life - anyone of us could be a refugee. The name says to all: "It Could Be You"
