Product Description
This is a three-movements concert piece for a trombone solo with an accompaniment of the concert band. It has traditional symphonic traditions combined with the Afro-Hispanic cultural traditions of the composer. The piece was premiered in April 2021 by Trombonist Dr. Luis F. Fred, Dr. Tremon Kizer (conductor), and the University of Central Florida Symphonic Band at Dr. Phillips Center for the Arts (Orlando, FL).
What is new in this 2024 revised edition?
This 2024 revised edition includes cue notes for instruments not necessarily available in public school band programs such as the oboe, bassoon, or the horn.
Furthermore, Dr. Nitai Pons (Band Director of the Escuela Especializada en Bellas Artes Ernesto Ramos Antonini in Yauco, Puerto Rico) suggested adding the instruments of the Cua and the Bomba Barrel to replace (or to substitute) the snare drum and the bass drum in the third movement of the piece, in case any band teacher is interested in conducting and playing this movement with traditional Puerto Rican instruments.
