The verses use dissonance and tension to depict the struggle we all have with fear. The chorus flows with open, first-inversion voicings. It contains a powerful upward modulation into the last chorus, as well as a very smooth and undetectable modulation downward before the ending, bringing the calm that comes when we rest in Gods promises.
