'Ballad of the Harpsichord' is an upbeat piece, completely contradictory to its title. Originally the piece was intended to be a ballad played on a harpsichord, but as the composing process carried on it was decided to speed it up and make it a much more upbeat piece. Later the instrumentation was also changed to piano so that dynamics could be incorporated. It's a very unique piece and one of my best.
