This is an early 18th century patriotic English song taken from the play The Grub-Street Opera, written by Henry Fielding who was more famously known for the novel Tom Jones. The melody is also used at the mess dinners of the British Royal Navy and US Marine Corps. This is an a cappella setting for six unaccompanied voices SAATTB or small mixed choir.
