"Bobby Shafto" is an English folk song and nursery rhyme, mostly associated with Robert Shafto, a British Member of Parliament for County Durham. The speaker/singer is clearly a woman who loves Bobby and wants him to return from his sea voyage to marry her. This arrangement has a very simple piano accompaniment but could equally be performed without. The melody is given to both sopranos and altos.
