Product Description
This collection of technical exercises for the guitar have been designed to develop: a good playing technique, a knowledge of the guitar fret-board, a knowledge of scale & chord construction, a basic knowledge of chord progressions, aural skills and the art of improvisation.
The exercises have been written and arranged to be played using the classical guitar technique, often referred to as finger-picking. For a student to use this material effectively they need to have already developed the basic skills required for guitar playing. This material is not a tutor as such but rather a supplement to learning the guitar.
I have been careful to make sure the exercises Sit Comfortably Under the Fingers. To this end suggested left-hand fingering has been included. Players are encouraged to use their own initiative and ideas based on the feel of the exercises, and thus begin developing the art of making their own music through improvisation.
Happy music making.
