A simple piano idea purely accompaniment supports a bass trombone solo that provides some technical challenges for the performer, but more is focused on communicating a mystical, almost reverent message to the listener. The piece begins very slowly and softly, and develops into a higher range, lighter work, with a slightly more dance-like quality. The openings ideas return, presented in a new manner. Few dynamics, articulations or marking of any kind are presented the expectation is that the performers create their own impression of what is being communicated.
