Product Description

Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen, or Songs of a Wayfarer, is a song cycle written by Gustav Mahler between 1884 and 1885. The piece is originally composed for medium voice (male or female) and uses Mahler's own texts. He composed this piece after an unhappy affair with soprano Joanna Richter When it comes to this transcription, I did make a few changes. The key has been changed to allow the contours of the Horn line to stay the same as the original Vocal line. I did not add in dynamics to the Horn part, because Mahler did not add any to the Vocal part. The slurs I added to make the Horn part work with the way Mahler set the text.
