Brass sextet by the great French horn teacher, Louis-Francois Dauprat (1781-1868). Originally written for horns in various keys Dauprat wrote them for his students to practice transposing parts. Sextet #1 begins with a slow (Lento) introduction, but quickly moves to a lively Allegro. All parts have challenging passages, making the overall effect interesting.
