Product Description

This beloved work by J. S. Bach is arranged here for Beginning or Early Intermediate Band. Transposed down to F major and arranged for beginners, your students will love this arrangement and find it easy to play. A solo part for intermediate to advanced players is provided with parts for C or Bb instruments, violin, or viola. Also provided are three keyboard parts of various levels of ability. This arrangement is perfect for concerts and educational settings. For worship, it can be performed almost any time since it exudes peace and joy, but it is particularly suited for Advent and Christmas since it comes from Cantata 147, "Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben" ("Heart and Mouth and Deeds and Life"), a cantata about Mary, the mother of Jesus, visiting her cousin Elizabeth and singing the Magnificat (see Luke 1:26-56). Arrangements for Intermediate Band and Concert Band are also available. For more music and information, visit www.jubalslyre.com/music.
