The orchestral color of this mystical music is retained by having the violin and cello cover for many other instruments, occasionally using optional double stops to enrich the texture. However the difficulty is contained and many options for playing ability and length are notated in the score. Separate parts also included for easy handling on music stand without page turning. Recommended for late 2nd year students (with easy options) or 3rd year (everything!).

All four movements are available now. This is the most exciting and rewarding, but also the most difficult. I suggest trying all of the other three first. There are plenty of short cuts and easy options marked in the score, but who wants to take them?
The cello and violin cover for so many instruments it is hard to list them. This is also the longest of my four arrangements for Scheherazade by almost a factor of two. Cornets, flutes, clarinets, bassoons, oboes, trombones, horns, you will play them all. The piece has three major solos and two major sub-movements. You will be transported to the metaphysical plane of the genies, I guarantee it. Be careful to leave some breadcrumbs so you can find your way back.
