Product Description
A famous and lush orchestral piece. Want to play this and don't have 20 string-playing friends? This duet arrangement, abridged in length, has remarkable fidelity to the original. A few judicious double stops (optional) and some switching between parts preserves the overall feel.
Updated Jan 2020: Use of the 2nd variation set with theme reprises keeps the impression of the sonata format while reducing length and complexity. Other simplifications have been made to make the music accessible to late intermediate (3rd year) players.Optional double stops added in beginning for richness and in middle of cello part for emphasis notes, just a few. These are not in the score scroll video, but are in the score and in the sample mp3 file, so you can hear the difference by comparing to the video.
All four movements are available. Score and parts included. Parts 2 pages each for easy handling. Options for length and difficulty marked in score. A year in development. Some key changes and difficult parts omitted. Parts are a blend of parts from original score, not simply a copy of violin 1 and cello.
