Judy Lane's own words are used in this comforting and powerful song with a message. The song is for a solo performance at a praise and worship church service.
The
song of the Angel came clear in the night.
Pray
cease your worry and calm your fright.
Our
Lord left his footprints as clear as the day.
Just
follow them, follow them all of the way,
But
Lord though I try hard, I stray from your path.
I
slip when it's frosty and trip over stones.
The
wind blows me sideways, the fog clouds my eyes.
Oh
Lord I am lost, Lord I am lost, Lord I am lost.
When
I woke the next morning the world seemed more clear.
Gone
were my worries, more calm my fear.
Those
footprints were shining the way seemed more clear
And
the song of the Angel will forever with me stay.
