Sourwood Mountain is a true American folk song that originated in the Appalachian Mountains.  Composed for string orchestra and percussion it will meet the need of beginning to intermediate student learning levels.  

It is written with three violin parts, one viola, cell and bass part each.  Multiple orchestra bell (glockenspiel) parts outline the violin parts and really make this twinkle.
