Product Description

Lyrics, suitable for Christmas, to the melody of Pass Me Not (William Howard Doane).
Background that inspired the lyrics:
From one of his writings (Woord teen die Lig I/6) prof. Dirkie Smit tells how he was feeling uneasily over Christmas time. It was all because of the story of the birth of Jesus according to Luke 2 verse 7b in his Children Bible that said no one whould grant a place to Mary and Joseph to overnight, because they did not know that the young woman will be the mother of the Son of God. What hindered him was how the people was supposed to know that she is pregnant with Jesus? He wondered if he himself would have done better? Whould he recognize the mother of Jesus, and in the end, Jesus Himself?
