Product Description

Staten Island is a upbeat traditional American tune with a twist in the B section. This arrangement was specifically written for a mixed-level group, with the first cello part more advanced (going up to 3rd position, but with an ossia part in 1st position if needed). The second cello part is suitable for early Suzuki book 1 level. The third cello part is the most elementary, with a repeating pattern on the D harmonic.

Emma Butterworth is a composer for film and TV and also a successful Suzuki cello teacher. She has an intimate knowledge of how to write for strings, and has written and arranged a vast number of pieces for cellos and strings especially. All pieces have been played and performed.
